This is an older story, but I find it relevant given that Obama now thinks the government can manage another part of our economy: health care. One of Obama’s key advisers in the auto-industry overhaul realm is a 31-year-old former campaign staffer who has no experience in the automobile industry.
One interesting part of the report:
“There was a time between Nov. 4 and mid-February when I was the only full-time member of the auto task force,” Mr. Deese, a special assistant to the president for economic policy, acknowledged recently as he hurried between his desk at the White House and the Treasury building next door. “It was a little scary.”
Is it not arrogant enough that progressives think they can manage large parts of our economy? What naive notion leads the Obama team to believe appointing this guy to oversee the auto industry is wise? It’s not the “audacity of hope” anymore, it’s just the audacity!
