Government Propaganda?

How I don’t remember seeing this disturbing video before, I’m not sure:

But in light of President Obama’s upcoming speech (and accompanying activity) with the children in the nation’s government-run schools, it certainly takes on new meaning. Had it just been a video encouraging volunteer service, it may have been fine. But it loses credibility, and gets just plain awkward, when it focuses on Obama and a “pledge” to “serve” him. Besides just the completely empty jingoism of “Be the change,” it boarders on creepy.

Hopefully, this is not the sort of tone that will be taken in the video to students.
